THE ROLLER DERBY HAZING IS OVER!
3rd ANNUAL DERBY-TAUNT BALL ANNOUNCES NEW 2007 SKATERS

Gotham Girls Roller Derby presents the 3rd Annual DerbyTaunt Ball where we will christen 15 new skaters (aka Fresh Meat) with their official derby names and everyone will find out which teams the newbies will skate for in the 2007 GGRD season including the skaters themselves!

The theme this year is Desperately Seeking Derby an 80s romp filled with big hair and even bigger shoulder pads. While the league has finally secured a warehouse practice space in Queens, they are still Desperately Seeking a place to hold their games for the 2007 season.

But what better way to kill some time by throwing a bash to introduce our new Derby Debs to a throng of adoring fans?

Will the Meat go to the saucy Brooklyn Bombshells in sailor-ette stripes, the hardcore Manhattan Mayhem in inmate orange, the dominating Queens of Pain (Season Champs 05-06), or will they find a parking spot with the Bronx Gridlock in taxicab checkers? Only the Captains know until the big announcements are made.

Toast the new Gotham Girls with drink specials including $5 mixed well drinks from 8-9pm, $5 whiskey and coke from 9-10pm, $5 shot of whiskey and a beer between 10-11pm and $3 gets you a PBR all night long.

Spot the Meat adorned in white, and recognize your favorite skaters in black and red. Join in the spirit and don your tightest acid washed jeans, legwarmers and ray bans and don’t forget to turn your collar up, dude.
