Quinn M. Heraty, Esq Quinn focuses her legal practice on forming and advising businesses
in the entertainment, music, and fashion industries; dealing with
trademark, copyright, licensing, and other intellectual property matters;
and drafting and negotiating contracts related to film, television, music,
publishing, and fashion.
Before forming Heraty Hall in January of 2002,
Quinn worked in the Intellectual Property and Information Technology
departments of Greenberg Traurig, a big fat international law firm. While
attending law school, Quinn worked as a Legislative Analyst for Robert
Morgenthau in the Manhattan DA’s office (officially known as the District
Attorney of New York), as well as in the litigation department of Lehman
Brothers, an international investment bank. Before attending law school,
Quinn worked in the strategic planning department of an international
media megacorporation; in various production capacities for various
independent films, from assistant to the director to line producer; as the
Promotions Director for a Chicago radio station; as a band manager and
club promoter; and as associate producer for city festivals and other
special events for the City of Chicago. Quinn Heraty graduated from New
York Law School and is admitted to practice in New York and
California. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the
New York State Bar Association, the Association of Bar of the City of New
York, and the New York County Lawyer’s Association. |

John S. Hall,
Esq John is a cum laude graduate of the Cardozo
School of Law, where he was editor in chief of the Cardozo Journal of
International and Comparative Law. His academic concentrations were in
Intellectual Property and in Constitutional Law and Rights. At Cardozo, He
worked as a legal assistant for the entertainment law firm of Rosalind
Lichter. John also did an externship in the legal department of DC Comics,
where he helped defend the rights of Superman, Batman, and many other
beleaguered superheroes. He recently worked as a legal researcher for the
film No Precedent, a documentary about the Bush v. Gore
decision.
John is also the lyricist and lead
vocalist for King Missile, the germinal* spoken word-with-music band,
whose hits include "Detachable Penis," "Take Stuff From Work," "Sensitive
Artist," and many others. King Missile recorded three CDs for
Atlantic Records and several independent CDs. In this capacity, John has
dealt with lawyers, managers, accountants, A&R representatives,
publicists, record producers, video directors, radio DJs, MTV VJs,
independent promoters, record company presidents, and other "important"
figures in the music industry.
John is admitted to practice in
New York and New Jersey.

Atossa Kia,
Esq
Of Counsel
Prior to joining Heraty Law as of-counsel, Atossa Kia was Assistant General Counsel at Sony Music Entertainment (France). At Sony, Atossa drafted and negotiated music contracts (recording, publishing, license, merchandising and distribution agreements), photography and artwork copyright clearances, web site design and development agreements, media planning agreements with advertising agencies, music webcast authorizations as well as settlements with artists and competitor major companies. She also managed Sony Music France’s trademark policy and portfolio and advised on the various legal issues related to the promotion and marketing of music. Atossa also subsequently took on senior management duties in the legal and business affairs department of Globe Music, a Sony Music affiliate specialized in world music.
After moving to New York and graduating from NYU School of Law, Atossa joined the corporate and entertainment practice of Pavia and Harcourt, LLP where she also acquired extensive corporate law experience in incorporating U.S. subsidiaries for various European companies.
In New York, Atossa also provides pro bono legal services at V.L.A. (Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts) and serves as a legal consultant for the European Music Export Office. She speaks English and French fluently, and is admitted to practice in New York. |
Jana L. Bozelko,
Esq
Of Counsel
Jana is a graduate of Tulane Law School where
she was managing editor of the Tulane Journal of International and
Comparative Law. While in law school, Jana also served as a member of the
Tulane Civil Law Clinic, a legal clinic established to assist people
in New Orleans with legal issues such as fair housing, discrimination, and
civil rights violations. Following graduation from Tulane, Jana worked at
Bingham McCutchen in New York City, where she was in the areas of
Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions. While earning her BA at
Yale, Jana interned at Donna Karan Intimates and studied fashion and
design at the Parson’s School of Art in Paris. Jana is a member of the
American Bar Association, the New York Women’s Bar Association, the
Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and the New York County
Lawyers’ Association. She also serves as a member of the Committee on
Legal Education and Bar Admission in the city of New York. Jana has
volunteered her time at Bronx AIDS Legal Services and serves as a Guardian
Ad Litem in New York. Jana joined Heraty Law in April of 2004 after being
admitted to practice in New York. |
